PRESENTATION

The Stricto Sensu Graduate Program, level of Academic Master's Degree in Health and Production of Ruminants UNOPAR, areas of concentration in Health of ruminants and Ruminant Production, has as general objective the training of teachers, researchers and skilled professionals to meet the demands of the public and private sectors of production system of ruminants.

Target Audience

Graduates in Veterinary Medicine, Zootechny, Agronomy, Biology and related areas.

CONCENTRATION AREA

HEALTH OF RUMINANTS

Research Line 1

Clinical-surgical diseases in ruminants of production: Approach the aspects related to etiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of clinical-surgical diseases in ruminants, with emphasis to the toxic, metabolic disorders, shortcomings and those caused by management failures.

Research Line 2

Infectious and Parasitic  diseases of importance in ruminants: Studies with a focus on the definition of the epidemiological characteristics, the main etiological and pathological infectious and parasitic diseases in ruminants production. Development of methods of serological and etiologic diagnosis and evaluation of control strategies and prophylaxis.

RUMINANTS PRODUCTION

Research Line 3

Pathophysiology and Biotechniques  of reproduction in ruminants: The  main pathophysiological problems of reproduction of ruminants will be covered with emphasis on hormonal disorders. Evaluation of methodologies employed in reproduction in on  Buiatrics  including natural reproduction and the reproduction biotechniques such  as IA, TE, IATF, IVF and cloning.

Research Line 4

Management techniques and nutritional aspects in the rearing of ruminants: Evaluation of techniques for extensive and intensive management applied in the  rearing of ruminants with approach in aspects related to productivity, cost of production and animal well-being . Ruminants feed considering the nutritional characteristics of food, nutrient requirements of ruminants with emphasis to increase productivity, cost reduction, feed conversion and carcass traits.
