PRESENTATION

The Stricto Sensu Graduate Program  in Dentistry of  UNOPAR was created in 2003, and is a pioneer in the region with Master's and Doctoral degrees, both approved by CAPES/MEC.

The Master’s Degree counts on  two areas of concentration: PREVENTIVE AND RESTORATIVE  DENTISTRY AND ORTHODONTICS.

The Doctor’s degree develops research activities and Graduate studies in the area of concentration in DENTISTRY  with teaching staff composed by PhDs with extensive professional experience and high scientific production, possessing exchanges with various educational and international institutions. It also develops projects of extension with dental care for the community of the region.

  • Preventive and restorative Dentistry
  • Orthodontics

 Research Line 1 - Diagnosis and treatment in Orthodontics: A study of the means of diagnosis of malocclusions and evaluation of several therapeutic modalities, as well as the effects induced by oral orthodontic movement in the oral tissues.

Research Line 2 - Epidemiology, prevention and Education in oral health: Epidemiological survey of health conditions in order to establish individual and collective strategies of control of oral pathologies, seeking educational  methods and resources, preventive and control ones, with a focus on dentistry for babies.

Research Line 3 - Physical, chemical and mechanical properties of dental materials: To study the physical properties, chemical and mechanical properties of dental materials aiming at their application in clinical procedures and the development of new materials in partnership with the industry.
