PRESENTATION

The Master’s degree in methodologies for the Teaching of Languages and their Technologies of UNOPAR was approved at the 144th Meeting of the Technical-Scientific Council of Higher Education - CTC-ES/CAPES. The course is composed of integrated activities of teaching, research and extension, which have as purpose the training of professors and education professionals. It focuses on the research development to respond to the demands for different forms of learning, based on the construction of new teaching methodologies.

 

Target Audience

Candidates university with teaching degree and bachelor’s degree are liable to apply to the program and/or acting in the area of teaching/education.

 

Objectives of the Program

  • To capacitate, in an interdisciplinary perspective, professors, researchers and professionals in the area of teaching/education to develop actions, strategies, programs and policies in the area of education for basic and higher level;
  • To promote research activities linked to a network of basic education through university extension activities;
  • To develop research nuclei on topics related to education, integrating and expanding the  scientific, technological and cultural production committing itself  with their broad socialization;
  • To articulate actions with the undergraduate education and  lato sensu specialization with views to the production of knowledge in the education area;
  • To contribute to the elevation of the general quality of university and extra university education in teaching undergraduate courses.

RESEARCH LINE

Research Line 1

Professors’ Training and Professors Action in teaching situations: To understand the process of education professionals training in historical, political, cultural and social dimensions, as well as their role in the educational system. To analyze the theoretical and methodological principles of teaching activities, supported by the policies of professors’  training and the use of new technologies to develop and validate designs and processes in the area of  in-class or virtual education. To develop competencies and skills to plan, program, implement and evaluate the multicultural landscape of school space. To articulate to the educational projects of formal, non-formal, open and mediated learning.

 

Research Line 2

Teaching of Languages and their Technologies: To investigate the processes of teaching and learning in in-class and virtual environments. To deepen the studies of methodological processes, their languages and technologies and the appropriation of these elements in the school space. To discuss the collaborative work; the dialogue; the evaluation procedure and the research potential of the pedagogical use of tools in the teaching-learning process, as well as their interaction with the new media and languages in teaching situations.
